Hydrographics Water Transfer Printing Process

How Does the Hydrographics Water Transfer Printing Process Work?

The hydrographic process can be applied to any material that can be painted.  As long as it can hold a base coat and be submerged into water (without a safety hazard or damage to the object) we can dip it!

Metal, wood, plastic, stone and ceramic all make for an ideal dip.

Hydrographic printing is actually the same process that many automotive manufacturers use to print wood grain patterns you see in a vehicle’s interior.

The basics steps are:

Clean and prep the part or object

Apply a base coat

The dip

Add clear coat for protection and durability
